Willa Zhen is Professor of Liberal Arts & Food Studies at the Culinary Institute of America. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from SOAS, University of London. She is the author of Food Studies: A Hands-On Guide.

In addition to her scholarly work, Willa writes on food, restaurants, pop culture, and current events. Willa was a regular contributor to That’s PRD. Her work can also be found in Time Out (London), Rogue Magazine (Philippines), and other publications.

Willa serves as a board member at the Poughkeepsie Farm Project and is an active volunteer at the Reher Center for Immigrant Culture and History.
